Daily Values follow the current FDA reference (21 CFR 101.36). Ingredients without an established Daily Value show “†”. You are responsible for confirming serving size, ingredient claims, and final compliance before printing.
Other ingredients: Gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.
How %DV and the † symbol work
For any nutrient with an FDA Daily Value — vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients — the %DV is calculated from the amount you enter and rounded to a whole percent. Ingredients with no established Daily Value, like herbal extracts or amino acids, are listed with a † and the footnote “† Daily Value not established.” appears automatically.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a Supplement Facts and a Nutrition Facts label?
- Supplement Facts labels (21 CFR 101.36) are for dietary supplements and can list dietary ingredients that have no established Daily Value — such as botanicals, herbs, and amino acids — which are marked with a † symbol. Nutrition Facts labels are for conventional packaged foods.
- What does the † symbol mean?
- It marks an ingredient for which the FDA has not established a Daily Value (for example, a botanical extract). The label then carries the footnote “† Daily Value not established.”
- Is it free?
- Yes. You can build your Supplement Facts label and download a watermarked PNG for free, with no account. A Pro plan removes the watermark and adds print-ready PDF export, saved products, and bulk import.
- Where do 'Other ingredients' go?
- Other ingredients such as capsule material, fillers, and flow agents are listed immediately below the Supplement Facts box, not inside it. This tool places them there automatically.
